Comcast Modem: Next-Generation Technology
The Motorola SURFboard SB5101 Cable Modem is next-generation modem technology that is built for both today and tomorrow. Equipped with a capacity for future Internet access provider system upgrades, it implements the most recent DOCSIS 2.0 technology, which is three times greater in upstream capacity than DOCSIS 1.0 or 1.1. That’s not to say it’s not compatible with DOCSIS 1.0 or 1.1. It can be utilized seamlessly with either.
Groundbreaking Performance
Break new ground with the SB5101. Broaden your horizons when you travel to more places on the Net – quicker than you could have ever imagined.
Operators using the Motorola SURFboard SB5101 can count on an Internet experience that is unparalleled and uninterrupted. This allows for rapid transition. Existing infrastructure investments will be maximized by implementation of the SB5101. End-user security is provided courtesy of a top-mounted stand-by switch which swiftly singles out the USB and Ethernet PC connection, with no possibility of disconnection of the modem from the RF network, ensuring the most secure channel of special service. This increases security and allows large files to download instantaneously. Furthermore, troubleshooting is made easy with the front panel status indicator LEDs and integrated HTML diagnostics page.
